What’s Included in Your ZEEKR Charger Installation

Installing a home EV charger involves more than mounting the unit and connecting a cable. We assess your home, your ZEEKR and your existing electrical supply so the complete installation is designed properly from the beginning.

1. Electrical Supply Assessment

We check your switchboard, available electrical capacity and whether your property has single-phase or three-phase power. This helps us determine what charging speed your home can safely support and whether load management should be considered.

2. Dedicated EV Charger Circuit

Your ZEEKR charger receives its own dedicated circuit from the switchboard. It is not connected to an ordinary power-point circuit because EV charging places a significant, continuous load on your electrical system.

3. Correctly Sized Cabling

The cable size is selected according to the charger output, cable length, installation method and your home’s electrical supply. We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach or undersize the cable simply to make the installation cheaper.

4. Safety and Circuit Protection

We install the appropriate circuit protection for the selected charger and complete the required electrical testing. If an isolation switch or additional protection is required for the charger or installation location, we include it in the proposed solution.

5. Charger Setup and Commissioning

Once everything is connected, we configure the charger to suit the available electrical supply and test the complete installation. Where applicable, we can also help connect the charger to its app, Wi-Fi or scheduled-charging controls.

Before we leave, we show you how to use it. You should be able to park, plug in and charge without needing to work through a confusing manual later that night.

With a compatible charger, you may be able to schedule charging during off-peak electricity periods. That means you can plug the car in when you get home and let the charging start automatically at the time you choose.

How Fast Can You Charge a ZEEKR at Home?

The answer depends on both sides of the connection. Your home must be capable of supplying the power, and your ZEEKR must be capable of accepting it.

ZEEKR Australia lists a 7kW AC home charger in its accessories range. Newer models can have higher onboard AC charging capabilities, with the ZEEKR 7X supporting up to 22kW AC charging and MY26 ZEEKR X variants supporting 11kW or 22kW, depending on the model. We will check your exact ZEEKR model, existing switchboard and electrical supply before recommending the right setup. Sometimes a 7kW single-phase charger is the most sensible answer. In another home, an 11kW or 22kW three-phase charger may be worthwhile. We explain the difference clearly so you can make an informed decision without paying for equipment you cannot properly use.
